When we got Brynn’s travel date, we were NOT ready. Such a weird concept since we waited 3 years FOR Brynn. When we got Jayne’s travel date, we had a handful of things to get and do, but overall we feel like “old pros” :)
One thing we wanted to make sure to do this time was spend extra time with the kids before we leave. So we asked the kids to think of one thing they each would like to do with Dad and Mom before our trip. Mom then left for work, and Caleb started brainstorming. By the time I got home, Caleb had convinced the other kids on a whole sheet of paper of things to do with Dad and Mom before they leave for China! Caleb’s list did come with the disclaimer, “some days we will need to do more then one thing or we are never going to get this all done.”
Early predictions seem to think that we will be able to get our list done…5 more sleeps til we are Jayne bound!! YAHOO, we are so pumped!!
O how I wish I was present for the "Nerf Gun Battle!" It is truly wonderful how you are blogging about your adventure, and I can't wait to read how things go over-seas.
